RTT: 20 Weeks, Midterms Finally Over, Spring Break!

I am so happy that midterms are finally over. I can enjoy spring break now, even though I didn't do so well on my calculus midterm (only made a 75...) and then I bombed a psychology test that I wasn't ready for. The last two weeks were just PACKED with schoolwork. It's so stressful to think about, I don't even feel like recapping it for y'all.

We went to the doctor Friday and got to watch our "little acorn" grooving! I posted a video on my other blog. (If you think you can tell the gender from the video, please don't tell me! :) We want it to be a surprise!)

It's spring break! And of course, we aren't going anywhere because J has to work. And get this...my science professor assigned homework that is due tomorrow! Guess who isn't going to do it...

This is all the random I can muster right now. I need to go clean something. I'm having some kind of nesting thing...

Hope everyone has a great Random Tuesday! Don't forget to link up over at Stacy Uncorked!

P.S. J's conditional release paperwork has been signed and is being processed! We're going active! I'm excited and nervous all at the same time! I really dread packing. Boo!

Bubbles!

Amanda had a dentist appointment yesterday, so Mama and I watched the kids. Boog helped me clean out the toybox while Mimi put Boo-Boo down for a nap. While we were going through the toys, I found a boat that looked like it blew bubbles. The batteries appeared to be dead, so I set it aside until we finished.
When I took it apart and added new batteries, it started whirring, so I asked Mama if she had bubbles. Boog says, "Mimi, do you got any bubbles? Go get some bubbles. We need dem." Mimi did not have any, so I "made" some with dish liquid. While I was standing at the sink mixing the liquid with water, Boog says, "Look Bit-Bit, you do have bubbles! Wots of bubbles!" and he pointed at the sink where the dishes were soaking in soap water. LOL.
 "Dat's a wot of bubbles!"
"Cheese!"
I told Mama that her coffee table was going to be super-clean!
 "Take my pikchure, Bit-Bit!"
"Can you take a pikchure of my hann?"
It was a lot of fun. :) I love my Boog!

Random Tuesday Thoughts:

Random Tuesday Thoughts are brought to you by Keely

  • Searching for apartments/ rental houses is very frustrating.
  • Dogs don't understand that thunder and lightning doesn't mean it's the end of the world. Khloe G thinks she needs to be in your lap when there's a thunderstorm.
  • If you build a bonfire, my Hubby will automatically suggest that it be bigger and more dangerous by adding gasoline to fuel the flames. { See proof here. }
  • Spring will happen when you're not looking.
  • Thunderstorms will never last as long as you want/expect them to. Weather forecasts are disappointing...
  • This blog that I read by Joy The Baker {which is sent to e-mail every time she posts. I'm the best kind of stalker. } always makes me envious. Mainly because I barely know how to cook. And her posts are always funny and make my stomach growl.
  • I spent exactly one hour typing this post after viewing past posts of Joy The Baker's blog. Seriously, she's making even me think I can cook this stuff.
  • I'm trying to resist the urge to dig through the pantry and fridge to make Maple Bacon Kettle Corn.
  • Lemme tell you just how bad of a cook I am. I bought a jar of really expensive{read: really, really, really, really, really, really expensive} olives {I think they were too expensive. $12 for a jar of fancy olives??} for a recipe I saw online. That was two years ago... I have yet to make the recipe. But darn it, I plan on keeping those olives until the stupid things are out of date. {side note: I don't even like olives.
  • I'm thinking of changing my blog layout, but am too lazy to format it so all of my old posts don't look deformed.
  • Found out today that the old apartments we lived in two years ago were named after a soldier in the Civil War. Weird...
  • Had a girl I barely even know, delete me on Facebook because I wouldn't vote for her to win in a contest. I am in the same contest. Wouldn't that be a conflict of interest or something-or-another? Ohhh well...
  • My Mama just informed me that today is Morelli's {a fictional character} birthday. Mmmmk...
  • My husband thinks that he should be involved in decorating our future abode.
  • I put up the clean clothes {that may or may not have been sitting clean and folded in their baskets in the living room for three or more days...} last night and discovered that one pair of my undies had been stained with red fruit juice from Boog's sippy-cup. Which also leaked all over the couch. *sigh*
  • It is Tuesday morning and my Mama and I are going to shop at Tuesday Morning. I love irony.
  • I'm reading a new book, The Host by Stephenie Meyer {author of The Twilight Saga} and I actually checked my neck to make sure I wasn't a host body. {You'll have to read the book to know what I'm talking about.}
  • I've run out of random things to talk about...

Why do they call Spring the Season of Rebirth when everyone is practically dying?: Random Tuesday Thoughts

So, yep, it's Tuesday again. Time to get random with
Keely The Un Mom.Be sure to visit her blog and link
up to join in on the randomness.

The weather outside is beautiful, and has been
for several days now. It has been cloudy all weekend
and today, we can finally see the blue sky.
Which of course, if the weather is nice, it means
I'm stuck inside dying because I can't breathe because
I'm sick. My throat is killing me, despite the lack of
tonsils. And there's so much snot in the back
of my sinuses I feel like I might choke at any
given moment. Please excuse my bluntness, I'm
slightly irritable.

*****************************************

I went to the doctor yesterday to have my "lady bits"
checked out. That was a nerve-racking fun experience.
At least I had my awesome sister with me. Am I a
big baby or what? {I should find out in a week or so
why stuff is just not working right. I'm sure y'all
just want all the details right?}

******************************************

After my doctor's appointment, my sister and I went
out to eat at Logan's where I had the nastiest salad
ever. I knew bacon, deviled eggs and balsamic vinaigrette
was probably not a good combination. Dessert was great
though. When we finished eating we went by Claire's just
to see what they had and I got lots of great deals! Four
bracelet sets for $1 each! One necklace for $1 and
another for $4.00. They are really pretty and very me!

********************************************

Did I mention it feels like spring outside and I'm
pretty sure the trees and flowers are out to get us?
Seriously, pollen should be classified as a bio-chemical
weapon. Don't read this wrong and think I hate spring,
because I don't! I love spring, I just hate getting
sick every year because my stupid sinuses don't
want to get along with the pollen spores that
are racing their way into my brain every time I
inhale. Ahhh sweet oxygen... Who needs it?

Maybe if I go hack down breathe on the plants some,
they'll quit attacking me with that yellow gunk.

**********************************************

You did want to read about something  random,
and not just lunatic plant-killing mumbojumbo by me,
right? Then go check out The Un Mom like I told
you before! You'll love her, I swear!

Groundhog's Day

Good grief, it's still
Really cold
Outside.
Understandably so, since it is January...but this is
Not the North Pole!
Didn't we have a long winter last year?
Hurry up Spring; get here already!
One more month of this cold weather and I'm
Going to move to Jamaica or
Some other tropical island!

Dawn...Groundhog's Day 2011,
Alas...Punxsutawney Phil, sees no shadow!
Yardsales commence!

I'm so elated that that furry little varmint didn't see his shadow this morning. Spring is on her way! I really miss my flip-flops. Perhaps tomorrow I will don said flip-flops
and write an ode to them. We shall see...
