Mil-Spouse Friday Fill-In #3

Oh I know I'm a little late. Heck, Friday is almost over...But I have been a little busy. LOL. Anywho...

1. What is your spouse's best feature?
I would definitely have to say his beautiful blue eyes! They are so unique! They're almost a clear blue. :) It's the first thing you notice about him. I mean really, see for yourself...
2. Mild, Medium or Hot sauce?
Medium or mild. I can't really handle that much hot stuff...except for the Hubby. lol.

3. What is the worst uniform you had to wear for a job?
Well..I have only worked at 5 different places, two of them were Walmarts. (the last job was a Walmart Neighborhood Market) Walmart's dress code is blue shirt and khaki pants. Neighborhood Market's was dark green shirt and khaki pants. I hated the blue the most, especially since I couldn't wear jeans.

4. You have invisible powers... Where is the first place you would go?
Hmmm....Right now I'd hop a plane to Afghanistan so I could be with J...but any other time? Probably use my powers to sneak into movies. LOL. They're so expensive now!

5. What's left on your "To-do" list for the summer?
OH wow, lots of things.
  • Spend more time with Jaybee, my best friend.
  • Go on a mini-vacation with Jaybee.
  • Go to eye-doctor.
  • Go to other doctor...the dreaded one.
  • Get a tan....ha!
  • Lose weight...that's not happening.
  • Finish 2008 in my scrapbook, so I can actually document the birth of my nephew and now my niece. And don't forget J's deployment and homecoming...I'm still in 2008. I'm not going to finish.
  • Plan what J and I will do on our vacation.
My list could probably go on and on for things I need to do, but these are things that I want and have to do before he comes home. Not to mention that the car needs an oil change and new tires...just sayin'...

These are really good questions this go-round. For more Mil-Spouse's Fill-ins head on over to Wife of a Sailor. Be sure to link up and leave a comment!

How did my scrapbook pages go from this:
To pages that look like this...

I hate it. But it's done. And I'm not re-doing a page
I've successfully finished! LOL. I'm never going to finish 2008.
Besides...that picture is horrible anyway...

For better more randomness...head on over to The Un-Mom and link up! Have a great Random Thoughts Tuesday!

03 July 2010

This Saturday...

was uneventful. Yesterday, I finished one scrapbook page and started planning the second. The finished result...

Then, Mom and I went to church at OneEighty and listened to the band play. Afterwards there were fireworks! :) It was a lot of fun. Except for the bugs which are always attracted to me....Mom and Jeremy say it's because I'm sweet! :P

The fireworks were so beautiful! I can hardly wait for tomorrow night. We're going to Thunder on the Mountain. Or as Jeremy and I have both accidentally called it, "Fire on the Mountain". LOL.

But today, all I did was watch the last 20 minutes of My Best Friend's Wedding and Run-Away Bride. :) Two of my favorite Julia Roberts movies and afterwards, I scrapbooked! I finished the page I started planning yesterday.

And then I almost finished a new one. This one took me several hours to make. I had to paint some of the paper, find different embellishments to add to it, and layout the design over and over again until it fit the way I wanted, before I attached anything to the base paper. It was a lot of work, but I am really pleased with the outcome!

The only thing that isn't attached is our last name at the top. :P My back was killing me after sitting hunched over it for hours! But I still love scrapbooking! Now I just need to print off a few thousand more pics...

Cape Henry 2008

Not much going on lately...
Haven't had much ambition to do
a whole lot of anything...
I'm probably depressed,
but, now that June is almost over
And my favorite summer month is
close at hand...
I'm starting to feel a lot better. :)

It was quite warm on this first day of
summer. So I opted to stay indoors.
I read, watched a little t.v., snapped
a few pics of a lizard in a flower pot, checked
Facebook and Myspace, and lounged
in the living room talking to Mom
and then Jeremy when he called.
Then I did a couple of scrapbook pages.
It seriously took only about 30
minutes to do two pages!

I'm quite impressed with myself!
I may finish 2008 before Jeremy comes home.
Haha. Wishful thinking...

Do Ducks Eat Sunflower Seeds?....

I've been feeling a little artsy/crafty lately, so I've been working on our scrapbook. I say "our", because it's just of pictures and stuff since Jeremy and I have been together. I'm not even attempting anything before then, since I didn't even have a camera. LOL.
So, I'm still in 2008. I know, I know...I'm way behind. But I'm trying! I was going through the pictures that I've printed off, trying to do them in order, and came across some from Virginia. We were looking for somewhere to have our wedding. We knew we wanted it on the beach, so when we found Huntington Park, we knew it was THE spot! We'd been munching on salted sunflower seeds *in the shells* and as we were walking along the beach to the dock, we saw a small group of ducks. Jeremy asked, "Do ducks eat sunflower seeds?". I remembered this because it was so funny to me. I didn't think they would, but the answer is Yes,...they will try! :P
I really enjoyed looking back at our memories while doing these pages...

Another page I worked on is "Feelin' Froggy". I love it too! Jeremy was just being silly and blowing me kisses and the other pic is of the frog I got for him @ the B'ham zoo. It's his car's mascot. lol. All cars have to have one! (My old car's was a little pink lizard!)
And the other page I worked on is from a few pictures of Jeremy that were taken at Virginia Beach, VA by one of the guys in Jeremy's AIT class....

I Love scrapbooking! I can't wait to finish 2008! Hopefully, before Jeremy comes home! LOL...Wish me luck!

Scrapbooking

I finally finished 2007! Well, all that I'm going to do for now. I don't think I even have any pictures from 2007 other than the ones I've already put into the scrapbook. I have been telling myself, "I am going to work on my scrapbook and finish Nov-Dec 2007" so I can get started on the long year of 2008. I started telling myself that about 2 months ago...I started and finshed yesterday!

These first two pages are from our first camping/hunting trip. We did more laughing and talking than hunting. ;)

I think these turned out really well. I love the colors I chose. Conceited, I know, but seriously...it came together well. I need a little journaling to complete it.

The Christmas pages, however, were much more difficult. There were lots of pics to work with, and since this is a scrapbook about us, I left out the pics of the rest of the family. I don't know what I'll do with those. *shrugs*
I think all in all, they turned out pretty well, considering I didn't have the best camera back then and someone else was taking the pics...

Oh and did I mention, I look horrible in those pics? But, a memory is a memory...no matter how bad a hair day it was. :P

Next, I'll be doing 2008's pics. There are literally thousands! Jeremy and I were living in Virginia then and I finally had a camera! I'm excited to get started, but it will be hard to only choose a few pics for each day/event. Wish me luck!....
