Stacy is still keeping the Random alive over at Stacy Uncorked, be sure to check out her blog and link up to Random Tuesday Thoughts!
I'm having a hard time thinking of random things because of this rainy, cold day. It feels great outside, so I shut off the air and opened up the living room windows. 'Bina and I are cuddling on the couch while I blog and play Sims on FB.
I just got stuck playing Sims on FB for 35 minutes... Sorry 'bout that.
I finally finished Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris. I know the sidebar still says I'm reading it, but it won't let me change it to nothing. I don't have anything to read until I go to the library later this afternoon.
I can't believe the way it ended!! She just left you hanging. My sister has the last book to the series, since I bought it for her birthday. But, I doubt my library has it. They don't have a lot of books at all. There are lots of shelves that are only half full. It is disappointing really. But, I guess it is a fairly new library.
I had someone suggest a book to me today, so I think I'll look for it along with a few others that weren't in last time I went.
Did I mention lately that I'm ready for fall??
Jeremy and I rearranged the living room Saturday. Now the tv is in front of the windows with the couch facing it. But the couch isn't against the wall anymore, which I love. Now, we just have to wait til we have enough money to buy a longer cable cord to put the tv against the wall that the couch used to be against. I don't like the tv in front of the windows since we leave the blinds open most of the time. It's going to make the tv a lot dustier, I think.
And we also need to hang something on the blank wall where the couch used to be. It's too white.
We had a great time in Florida visiting with J's family the weekend before last. I wish we could go back. I miss them already.
J's brother, Chris and his wife, Kelly, went to the Auburn game Saturday (War Eagle!). She didn't reapply her sunscreen and now she's burnt really bad. Even her hands and fingers got burned, so they are swollen. Bless her heart.
J went to the storage unit Saturday and I asked him if he would bring back the fall stuff, but he said no. So, unfortunately, I still haven't started decorating. I guess I'll give it another week or so.
Thanks for everyone commenting on my 6WS. I did sleep soundly Saturday night...well, not really since I couldn't go to sleep until 5am, Sunday morning. I stayed up reading since I couldn't sleep. J had made some coffee and I had a large cup of it. It kept me up and so did the prospect of having nightmares again.
Did everyone see Oregon's new uniforms on Saturday?? They are awesome! I am distracted by their shoes, but I still want a pair. LOL. J and I watched the game since they were playing LSU and we wanted to see how well the #3 and #4 teams are playing this year. Pretty well. They are evenly matched. Although, LSU did win.
Auburn has been bumped out of the national polls, but that won't stop me from loving them!! War Eagle!!
I think I'll take a break from the computer and watch UP! for the ump-teenth time. :P
It's all coconut-y and sweet-smelling. It reminds me of beach trips with my family when I was little. {I still hate summer... it's too hot!}
It's Tuesday, let's be random...
Keely is still on her hiatus, for the eleventh week in a row. I wish I had her job. Stacy at Stacy Uncorked is keeping the RTT spirit alive {with wine!}, check out her blog and link up or you can link up here. :)
J and I have been spending a lot of time at the pool gettin' our tan on. I have a pretty good one going on, on my shoulders and back. Hopefully I'll get it evened out. I have a farmer's tan on my right arm. Looks ridiculous.
It's HAWT outside. I melt as soon as I walk outside and my skin feels like the desert.
Talladega is under a state of emergency. They have no water pressure. J told me that yesterday, so I don't really know what's going on.
The Army finally paid us. Just when we though we were going to have to sell off some organs to pay the bills.
We saw X-Men First Class Sunday night; it was awesome! Now we finally know why Professor Xavier is in a wheelchair.
I'm still reading My Booky Wook. It's taking me forever. I don't know why. I guess I'm just not in a reading mood lately.
J and I spent the weekend at Mama's house. He worked on the lawn mower, weed-eated and cleaned up the shop. Saturday we took all the junk from the shop to the dump.
Not sayin' I went through the dump bins or anything, but I found a brand-new pack of styrofoam balls! {They were just laying there!}
J leaves for WLC in two weeks. He'll be gone for almost half a month. He's going to miss our 3rd anniversary on June 29th. :( I'm really going to miss him. But 2 1/2 weeks is nothing compared to a year.
Sabrina is lazy...but I'm sure y'all know that by now.
I feel bad about not blogging as much lately. But we did just get back the laptop last week. I'm going to get back in the swing of things soon.
Kirkland's was having a sale for Memorial Day weekend; we bought this. I love it! I can't wait to hang it above the couch.
Gas is finally below $3.50 a gallon.
My brother finally came over to the apartment to hang out with us. I made breakfast for dinner.
Went to renew my tag last Tuesday. It was $90.17! Good grief. It was the first time I had ever bought a tag in another county.
My shoulder is killing me.
I wish I could be in the pool right now.
We've decided to move our "date night" to Tuesdays since it's cheaper to watch a movie on Tuesdays.
Gotta go to the bank, so I'm wrapping up the random here.
Hope y'all are having a great week so far. Go forth and be random!
I forgot that we had a three-day weekend! I didn't know that it was Tuesday until I saw Stacy's post on Facebook. *sigh* That's what I get for not having a job. LOL. I don't keep up with the days as well.
I was making that yummy banana bread again and I filled the pans too full and they overflowed into the bottom of the oven. Some of the batter got on the heating element and caught on fire. J was home, thankfully, and he helped put it out. The bread went into the trash. What a waste. :(
{Not sure if anyone knows that though...since no one linked up last week.}
Pineapple sandwiches for dinner are only acceptable when the Hubby is not home...
I really miss J. He's out helping with the National Guard to recover people who are still missing from last week's tornado outbreak in Alabama.
We have over 315 channels (thank you Josh Turner...) and there's never anything worth watching.
Why is it, that no matter what time it is, all of the movie channels are in the middle of a movie? It's annoying when you go to watch a movie at 7 and there's no movies starting then.
Sabrina got frisky last night and wanted to play ball at 2330.
I wanted to keep the babies over the weekend, so I picked them up Saturday around noon and brought them home with me. We went to the park and Target and when we got back home, they took a nap. I guess it was too late, because that night, The Princess would NOT go to sleep. She finally wiggled and cried herself to sleep around 0130. Ridiculous. Then Boog woke me up at 0630 and his crying woke her up. So I took them home Sunday morning.
I was supposed to have a doctor's appt today to check my thyroid, but unfortunately, our insurance ran out and I never got a chance to renew it.
When I got online to fill out the paperwork to renew our insurance, I couldn't log onto anything. Apparently, J has to do it, since he has all the passwords. *sigh*
J and I saw Fast Five Friday night and it was AWESOME!
I'm currently watching The Fast and the Furious...love this movie. Love Vin Diesel. :)
It's raining.
I'm praying for all the victims of the tornadoes and the storms last week. The rain can't be helping matters any.
Osama Bin Laden was killed by US action Sunday. I only have one thing to say about that:
17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles, 18 lest the Lord see it and be displeased,
and turn away his anger from him.
Proverbs 24:17-18
I figure it's finally May, so that means spring is over. I put up all my spring decorations with the Easter stuff. So what do I decorate with for Summer?? I really liked my spring decorations. >.<
Did I mention I miss my Hubby? :(
That's it for my Randomness. Be sure to link up and check out everyone else's link-ups too! {If anyone links up that is...}
** UPDATE: Apparently, none of you fine folks have ever heard of a pineapple sandwich...maybe it's a southern 'thang'? So, I'm gonna help you make one.
So, you take your two slices of bread {wheat, white, whatever...} and you slather some mayonnaise on it. Or miracle whip...whatever. I actually prefer miracle whip because it's kinda sweet. Then you top it with a piece of American cheese on one side and two slices of pineapple on the other. I put mayo on both pieces of bread. You might want to dab your pineapple slices with a paper towel if they're particularly juicy. Otherwise you're going to have pineapple-flavored mayonnaise running down your arms... But really, that's part of the experience. Srsly, try this at home! I'm going to go have one right now. :)**
AND, we have house-guests! Jeremy's Mom and Dad are
staying with us this weekend.
I hope everyone is having a great Saturday like we
are! It's so beautiful here and it's finally warm
again. Last night was 34°F and today it's 72°F! Have a great 6WS and a great weekend altogether! Don't forget to visit Cate at Show My Face, link up and join in on Six Word Saturday!
